Building Library Collections
At the Emerson School, we collected and organized over 4000 books for use in classroom libraries and in a book room. Students borrow books on a regular basis, enjoying new stories and adventures.
We are taking book donations, of books in good condition, appropriate for grades K-5.
Please donate gently used books to the Brookline Literacy Partnership. Drop them off in Room 300 at Brookline High.
At the Mather Elementary, the Brookline Literacy Partnership is working on organizing the library to make it easier for the students to check out books. In conjunction with Temple Ohabei Shalom, the Partnership is holding a Book Organization Day where the students and Temple members will work together to catalogue the library. We are also trying to improve the classroom libraries and are always accepting new or gently used books as donations. In addition, we will be helping the Mather School improve their technology use, both in the library and elsewhere.
